Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed on his Facebook page that “the call came to consult and exchange assessments regarding the developments of the crisis, as the two sides agreed on the need to make all efforts to preserve the stability and safety of the brotherly state of Sudan and its people.”

According to the statement, “Minister Shoukry stressed during the call that the Egyptian messages to the two Sudanese parties stress the importance of prioritizing wisdom and listening to the voice of reason in a way that leads to an immediate ceasefire, which contributes to stopping the bloodshed of the Sudanese people and preserving their capabilities.” He added, “The two ministers agreed to continue consultation and coordination during the coming days to follow up on developments in the crisis and efforts to contain it.”

Meanwhile, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement posted on his Facebook page, on Monday, that “Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry made two phone calls with Mahmoud Ali Youssef, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti, and Deng Dao, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Sudan.” Sudan on the developments of the current crisis in Sudan.

Shoukry stressed “the importance of dealing with the current conflict as an internal matter while avoiding interference in it in a way that exacerbates the intensity of the conflict, and the need to integrate all efforts to preserve the stability and safety of Sudan and its people, and the need to focus on reaching an immediate ceasefire between the conflicting parties,” according to the statement.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister also received a phone call from Catherine Colonna, the French Foreign Minister, to consult and exchange assessments on the current developments in Sudan.

According to a statement published by a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “the importance of any external party refraining from interfering in this conflict in a way that exacerbates its severity was emphasized, and in a way that contributes to Sudan’s restoration of security and stability as soon as possible,” as Egypt’s foreign minister briefed his French counterpart. on Egypt’s efforts to stop the ongoing conflict, including the conclusions and recommendations of the recent Arab League Council meeting.
