Asunción, IP Agency.- Foreign Minister Julio César Arriola confirmed that he will meet with the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, this March 27 in Washington.
The meeting will make it possible to review the bilateral agenda between Paraguay and the United States, as well as the cooperation mechanisms and regional instances that both countries share, such as the case of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations, he informed the NPY channel.
The foreign minister confirmed the visit following a meeting between the President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, and the ambassador of that country, Marc Ostfield, this Tuesday at the Government Palace.
President Mario Abdo, for his part, will visit the Special Operations Command (US Socom) in the city of Tampa Bay, Florida on the same dates; site that unifies the special commands of the United States Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.
Arriola pointed out that another point discussed was the process of opening Paraguayan meat to the US market. On the part of Paraguay, the documentary processes have already finished and in the United States a public hearing is pending to advance in the process.
The chancellor indicated that he will express to Secretary Blinken the importance of this authorization for the meat sector and for the Government.
