Foreign media such as Bloomberg report successive news of South Korea’s Egyptian nuclear power plant order

Foreign media, including Bloomberg News, reported successively that Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power had won a 3 trillion won order for the El Dava nuclear power plant in Egypt.

Bloomberg News and US ABC News reported that Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, a public company in Korea, won an order to build a nuclear power plant in Egypt worth 3 trillion won (US$2.2 billion) worth US$2.2 billion, citing Korean officials.

Foreign media reported that Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, which was selected as the sole negotiator for the El Dava nuclear power plant construction project in December last year, plans to supply equipment and materials to Egypt’s El Dava nuclear power plant and construct a turbine building from next year to 2029.

In addition, President Yoon Seok-yeol’s remarks on Facebook, saying that this nuclear power plant order “proves the excellent technology of Korea’s nuclear power plants”.
