With the return of the popular classic Capri model, Ford has further expanded its range of electric cars. A classic sports coupe loved by families across Europe, it has undergone a rebirth for the electric era, taking on a new look combining iconic design elements with a modern purpose.
Ford has partnered with French football legend Eric Cantona, who has become the main ambassador for the new Capri model and the star of the entire campaign.
Legendary rookie Cantona said: “Some people think legends are born. According to others, they are creations. Only the legends themselves know the truth. This Capri model is a remarkable reinterpretation of a classic. Sports coupe for the family. Mainly, however, it is fully electric. That is the future. The legend doesn’t apologize for anything.”
The all-electric Capri is a rebel to the core: with a color palette to match and the panache you’d expect from the original Capri of yesteryear. The new electric model features design elements inspired by its predecessor – from the style of the headlights to the shape of the body and the appearance of the rear. It is a real sports car for the family with a range of over 620 km, fast charging and a boot space of over 570 litres.
In addition to the design, the inherited characteristics of the Capri have been carried forward into the future with a number of technologies that will improve the user experience. Thanks to intelligent technologies such as automatic lane changes or monitoring of cyclists when opening the door, Capri will help you ensure safety on the open road and in the city. A massaging driver’s seat and a sliding touch screen are standard equipment. The fully electric Ford Capri is therefore an electric car that celebrates the past while discovering the future.
