Currently, Ford only has one 100% electric car, the Mustang Mach-E. It will soon be joined by a battery-powered version of the Transit utility. And that’s just the beginning ! The American manufacturer intends to introduce no less than 7 new vehicles powered only by ions! Among them, there are four machines intended for professionals.
Electricity for the pros
In addition to the imposing E-Transit, Ford’s fleet of electric vans will be supplemented in the next two years by smaller Transit Custom and Courier as well as electric Tourneo Custom and Courier. Ford does not release other information about these models, such as battery capacity or range. The manufacturer, on the other hand, is more talkative about its other new features!
3 new electric SUVs!
From next year, Ford will launch production in Cologne of a brand new 100% electric crossover! We should get a taste of it later this year. The brand already announces a range of around 500 km. A sporty and electric SUV, also assembled in Cologne, will complete the brand’s catalog in 2024 as well as a battery-powered version of the Puma.
A larger production
In addition to further developing its German site in Cologne, Ford is also embarking on the construction of a plant in Ankara, Turkey. The latter will be dedicated to the production of batteries and should be operational around 2025. Ford hopes to reach an annual capacity of between 30 and 45 GWh!
