Ford is laying off 3,000 workers worldwide this week, including 120 in Canada. The automaker says it is evaluating its costs in order to invest in its growth.
This decision affects approximately 2,000 employees and 1,000 agency employees in the United States, Canada, as well as in its business offices in India. These are non-unionized positions in different departments, such as product development, procurement services, human resources and marketing.
These workers will be offered severance pay, benefits and significant assistance in finding new career opportunities
says the company in an email to Radio-Canada.
