On the followingnoon of January 11, Ford announced the business results of 2022 in the Vietnamese auto market with impressive results. Specifically, this joint venture has total sales of 28,847 vehicles of all kinds, up 22% compared to 2021.
2022 is the first year following nearly 30 years of operation in Vietnam, Ford has launched 5 new products in a row. This is also the first time in history, Ford Vietnam completed 5 new product programs in a year with 3/5 products assembled at the factory in Hai Duong.

It is known that the recent expansion investment package has also helped Ford increase the capacity to 40,000 vehicles a year with 2 production shifts and helped recruit 650 more workers, bringing the total number of employees at the company to more than 1,200 people.
Among Ford products, Ranger is the pickup model with more than 10 consecutive years leading the Vietnamese market. For the whole year 2022, Ford Ranger sales reached 16,477 vehicles, an increase of 5% compared to 2021. In the pickup segment, Ranger currently accounts for more than 70% of the market share.
Ford recorded Everest sales in 2022 at 6,979 vehicles, up 27% from the previous year. Ford Everest currently holds 44% market share in the segment for the whole year.

The large SUV imported from the US Ford Explorer has also returned to the market with the launch of a new version from the beginning of the year and sales reached 828 vehicles in the whole of 2022. After the disruption in supply due to the pandemic, Ford Explorer model gradually regained the position of a large SUV leading the segment with 57% market share.
Meanwhile, Ford Territory is a new face in the urban C-class SUV group in the fourth quarter of 2022. However, with only 2 months of sales, Ford Territory hits sales 2,059 vehicles, accounting for regarding 14% market share in this crowded segment.

As for Ford Transit, it still maintains its leading position in the 16-seat commercial vehicle segment. Transit sales in 2022 reached 2,423 vehicles, up 170% over the same period last year. Currently, Transit holds 60% market share in the segment and has advantages in cost of ownership as well as stability in equipment and operation.
The next focus that Ford will achieve in 2022 in Vietnam is to improve the customer experience. In particular, a series of new applications such as FordPass, online service booking or experiences at Ford Guest Experience dealers are being strongly deployed throughout the system.
