Security forces killed 12 Khawarij terrorists while conducting an operation in the districts of North and South Waziristan, while 6 soldiers of the Pakistan Army were also martyred in the exchange of fire with the terrorists.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, on September 19, the security forces came to know about the transportation of a group of 7 terrorists who were trying to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Spinwam area of North Waziristan. But the terrorists were surrounded.
After a fierce exchange of fire with the security forces, all 7 Khawarij were killed and a large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from their possession.
Another clash took place in Ladha area of South Waziristan in which a group of Khawarij attacked a post of security forces which was foiled.
The security forces killed 5 Khawarij, but during the intense firing, 6 brave soldiers of the country fought bravely and achieved the great status of martyrdom.
ISPR says clearance operations are underway to eliminate any remaining Khawarij in the area. Pakistan’s security forces are committed to rooting out the menace of terrorism and the sacrifices of our brave men reinforce this resolve.
It may be recalled that earlier on September 7, security forces foiled an attack attempt on Frontier Constabulary (FC) Headquarters Mohmand by killing 4 foreign suicide bombers during a successful operation in Mohmand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, 4 foreigners attempted to attack FC Headquarters Mohmand, all four suicide bombers were killed before they could do any damage.
ISPR said that a sanitization operation was conducted against outsiders in the area, the forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
It should be noted that at the end of last month, security forces killed 25 terrorists during a successful operation in Tirah Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district.
ISPR had said that the security forces conducted this operation based on secret information in Tirah, Khyber region. The foreign leader Abuzar alias Saddam was also included in the dead. During the operation, 25 terrorists were killed. There were also injured.
Earlier on August 19, the security forces foiled the attempt of a group of Khawarij to infiltrate from the Pak-Afghan border in Bajaur. Young men were also martyred.
The spokesman of the Pakistan Army had said that foreign terrorists tried to infiltrate on the Pak-Afghan border on the night of August 18-19, security forces foiled the infiltration of foreign terrorists in Bajaur.
The ISPR had said that as a result of the effective action of the security forces, 5 terrorists of Fitnah-ul-Khawarij were killed while 4 Kharijites were also injured during the operation.
