On the evening of February 4, the police of Anh Son district (Nghe An) said that they had successfully broken the case and arrested Ms. Bui Thi Ty (63 years old, residing in Linh Son commune, Anh Son district) for the crime of lending heavy interest.

Previously, Anh Son District Police received applications from many people accusing Ms. Ty of committing crimes of high interest loans in the style of black credit. Anh Son district police have set up a special case for verification and investigation.
The special case committee searched Mrs. Ty’s residence and seized more than VND 104 million in cash, many papers and other evidences related to black credit activities.
Ms. Ty confessed that she had lent money to many people with interest rates ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 dong/million/day and collected “interest from mother and child” when the borrower had not yet paid the interest.
Initially, the police agency proved that from April 2020 to before she was arrested, Ms. Ty lent heavy interest and earned illegal profits of more than 800 million dong.
Currently, the Public Security Bureau of Anh Son District is continuing to fight and expand the project.
