At the head of the Spanish football federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales was on an ejection seat since he had kissed by surprise on the mouth Jennifer Hermoso, the N.10 of the female Roja, in front of cameras around the world just after the coronation of Spain against England, causing the highest levels of football to react.

Tuesday evening, the RFEF had announced that because of the “emergency”, it would hold an extraordinary general meeting on Friday devoted to the subject.
The announcement of the holding of this assembly was accompanied by a clarification: “in view of the latest events which have occurred (…) last Sunday in Sydney, we wish to inform you that the internal procedures of the Federation concerning questions of integrity are open”.
