Forced eviction of Palestinians from Gaza is a clear crime against humanity: Army Chief

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir said that continuous attacks on the civilian population, schools, universities, aid workers, hospitals and the forced eviction of Palestinians from Gaza are clear crimes against humanity. According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir met with the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Ahmed Jawad Rabi and expressed his condolences over the martyrdom of Palestinians in the ongoing war in Gaza.

The army chief said that he is deeply concerned about the torture and indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians by the Israeli army in the war, the continuous attacks on the civilian population, educational and relief workers, hospitals are condemnable, the forced eviction of Palestinians from Gaza is against humanity. The Army Chief reiterated Pakistan’s principled support for the independent state of Palestine established on the basis of the pre-1967 borders and said that the capital of Palestine is al-Quds al-Sharif. The Army Chief said that at this critical juncture, it is imperative that the international community mobilize to end the humanitarian tragedy caused by the disproportionate and illegal use of force by the Israeli Defense Forces as soon as possible.
