Forbes publishes a list of the 10 richest women in the world

Forbes magazine published a new ranking of the richest women in the world for the year 2022, including 6 Americans who were ranked among the top 10.

And the American magazine said in its annual classification, that among the 2,668 billionaires in the Forbes list this year, there are only 327 women, a decrease from last year, which saw 328 rich people around the world.

Altogether, these women, including those who share their wealth with their husbands, children or siblings, are worth $1.56 trillion, up $3 billion from last year.

It is noted that the majority of the 226 billionaires inherited their wealth, including the three richest women in the world, including L’Oreal, heiress Françoise Bettencourt Myers, and Walmart heiress Alice Walton and Julia Koch, who inherited a stake in Koch Industries when she was wife to David Koch. She passed away in 2019.

Billionaire Renata Kellnerova entered the competition this year, as she and her four children inherited an estimated $16.6 billion after the death of her husband, Peter Kellner, in a helicopter crash in March 2021.

According to the new classification, the 101 women among this year’s list of billionaires in the world are self-made, meaning they founded or co-founded companies rather than inheriting their wealth, including that of entrepreneur Bishop Diane Hendricks.
