Didn’t find your rare pearl during the sales? No problem because from today to Saturday, the Antibes braderie is back for a 13th edition. During these three days, the streets are transformed into a paradise for large and small businesses with unbeatable discounts, especially in the clothing sector. “90% of our participating members are ready-to-wear stores”says Luana Di Vizio, the president of the organizing association, Merchants Antibes Cœur d’Azur.
The start of the school year is fast approaching and we should not miss the opportunity for businesses to attract a large clientele. “We chose this moment because the streets are still full of vacationers. After the summer, much calmer seasons are looming”adds the president.
Branded placemats for restaurants
You will have to stick together in the small alleys to make your way to one of the 150 participating shops. Choice, there will be.
If the main rebates affect clothing products, several restaurants will also participate in the celebration. To recognize them, it’s quite simple. Placemats in the colors of the clearance sale are in the cupboards, ready to be set up with the cutlery.
Some small reductions on the bill will therefore be offered by these restaurateurs.
“Sometimes I offer a few drinks for customers who play the game. But there will not be big discounts on the dishes because we cannot lower the prices yet”warns the president, however.
(Very) low prices
“This is an opportunity for several traders to sell their stock before the start of the school year. Everything must be liquidated before the autumn/winter collections. So you might as well take advantage of the fact that there are still people on the streets to do so. There will therefore be reductions of -50% to -70% during the three days”, continues Luana Di Vizio. Enough to afford the latest items from the summer collections. With the hot weather, dresses and shorts will not go to the closet yet.
“Our goal is for people to have fun. But also for our members to be happy because the sale brings in people.”
Even if no flagship event is planned this year, traders will do their best to liven up the streets of the city during these three days.
Towards a night sale?
No big news this year for the sale. But that does not mean that there is no reflection on possible improvements. Among them, the desire to extend the event in the evening. “The objective is to integrate bars into our association and have them participate with us. We will thus be able to offer a real night market, ”underlines Luana Di Vizio. If this materializes, a taste will perhaps be presented during the next sale of the association in February. If not, see you next year.
For now, you’ll have to get up early to find the best deal. Also note in your diaries the next Juan sale at the end of September.
