In the state of Louisiana in USAthe financial institution Bank of America, could prohibit the transactions.
State Treasurer John Fleming has called for a ban on the bank and anything involving state deposits.
Why was the decision made?
The reason Fleming alerted users is because the financial institution has allegedly denied service to clients based on their religious beliefs.

It is worth mentioning that in November 2023, the bank de-banked two Christian organizations: Timothy Two Project International and Indigenous Advance Ministries, because their activities were related to faith.
The bank categorically denied allegations of discrimination against it, saying religious beliefs are not a factor in the bank’s decision about accounts.
