In an incident that was repeated for the third time in a few months, a medical team at Banha University Hospital managed to extract a mobile phone from the stomach of a young man in Qalyubia governorate in the north of the country.

The medical team headed by Dr. Hisham El-Sayed Al-Areef, Assistant Lecturer of General Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, succeeded in extracting a mobile phone from the abdomen of a 25-year-old man who suffers from stomach pain and stomach cramps.

Yesterday, Thursday evening, the Emergency Surgery Department of the University Hospital received a young man suffering from severe stomach pains and abdominal cramps. Examination of him revealed the presence of foreign objects in his stomach.

Doctors decided to perform urgent surgery to extract the foreign bodies, and they were surprised to find a mobile phone wrapped inside a black bag in his stomach, and it was extracted immediately.

A few months ago, an Egyptian medical team managed to extract a mobile phone from the stomach of a young man in the city of Kafr El-Zayat in the Gharbia.

Aswan University Hospital, south of Cairo, received a citizen who complained of severe abdominal pain. On examination, it was found that he suffers from severe infections and cramps in the stomach and intestines.

The hospital administration stated that x-rays and examinations were carried out, and the doctors confirmed that his condition required urgent surgery to extract a foreign body in his stomach that was causing him such pain.

She added that doctors succeeded in extracting a mobile phone from the patient’s stomach.
