SUPER BOWL 2022 – Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and Eminem, just that. The famous Super Bowl 2022 halftime show will put hip-hop in the spotlight this Sunday, February 13. The National Football League Final will pit the Cincinnati Bengals against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Like every year, the half-time concert is eagerly awaited. An XXL cast will be gathered in California to host the most watched event on American television, and Snoop Dogg is not for nothing. The American rapper has been pushing the NFL for the right to perform at the Super Bowl.
“Let’s hope the NFL is smart and makes the right decision,” he told the site. Yahoo in May 2021, before continuing: “I am available, Dre is available, Eminem is available, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent – whoever Dr. Dre wants to come out of his hat to make this thing a professional event and make it the biggest show possible”

His request was heard. This 100% hip-hop cast at the 43 Grammy Awards will be present to host the event sponsored by Pepsi. Snoop Dogg attaches particular importance to this show because it was born in California, like Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar.
Eminem and the interpreter of Family Affair Mary J. Blige round out the cast, to give “the greatest performance you’ve ever seen in the history of the hip-hop” according to Snoop Dogg. He is happy to give this concert with friends who are music legends, and sees this opportunity as “a dream come true”. Dr. Dre adds that this concert will be “one of the greatest thrills of [sa] career”.
Rapper 50 Cent had also received an invitation from Snoop Dogg to participate in the party, but he will obviously not be present. The latter seems to have been replaced by singer Mary J. Blige, who has already collaborated with Snoop Dogg. The two stars are notably present together on the title Diamond Lifereleased in 2021.
Eminem is also present, but he had been in conflict with Snoop Dogg since 2020. The Californian had excluded “Slim Shady” from the list of the best rappers of all time on the show Breakfast Club. The two men reconciled in October 2021, and will walk the stage of the SoFi Stadium side by side. They will have the opportunity to perform one of their many collaborations, Game Over at Last Kings Passing by Back in Business.
The 5 “Avengers” of hip-hop are added to the long list of stars who sang at the Super Bowl halftime, between Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga or The Week End in 2021. The halftime of this confrontation between the two best NFL teams is a great showcase for artists.
Snoop Dogg will also take the opportunity to release his 20th solo album: “Back On Death Row”, on the day of the concert. Kendrick Lamar should also release a new single in the coming days, with the big show this Sunday, February 13.
