“I’m used to traveling alone during Tet”
Why did you choose to get in the car and go on a road trip during the days of welcoming the new year?
– Normally, Tet is always the time when I have the most free time without work or film projects. Because of that, I often reward myself with time to rest and enjoy life. Instead of traveling abroad like many people choose, for regarding 4 years now, I have chosen to get in the car and go to provinces and cities in my country. I always think Vietnam is very beautiful and I haven’t had the chance to explore and enjoy it all.

Tell me regarding a trip during Tet that you remember the most?
– Maybe it’s the trip in 2023, when my mother and I go backpacking from North to South together. Years ago, I often traveled alone. However, last year, my mother suddenly told me: “Let me go with you.” So for more than half a month, my mother and I took the car to all parts of the country.
We went to the tip of Ca Mau because my mother said “I wanted to know what the land at the beginning of the country is like”. The two of us also experienced the Gia Lai road in the Central Highlands for the first time, which is difficult, dangerous but extremely beautiful. Together with my mother, I enjoyed the delicious dishes of each region and witnessed people preparing for Tet.
Last year’s New Year was also the first time I celebrated New Year’s Eve alone at the beach in Binh Dinh. In each land, I usually stay for regarding 2 days, then continue my journey to explore other localities. In each place, I learned more regarding the customs and habits of the people in the days leading up to Tet.
So what will your trip schedule during the 2024 Dragon Festival be like?
– I will go home around Tet, visit family and relatives, then start my own trip. My plan is to go to Da Lat, then go straight to Hoi An and rest in Da Nang. In each province, I will stay 2 – 4 days, depending on inspiration. During this time, tourist attractions often have fewer people, and the atmosphere is quiet so you can comfortably observe and contemplate.
Instead of going alone, why don’t you go with someone? Could it be that traveling alone in the first days of the year doesn’t make you feel lonely?
– Normally I do everything alone, so traveling alone is not strange. Having a companion is nice, but it will depend on their schedule.
In addition, my trips are often based on inspiration, not following a specific plan. If it’s convenient, I’ll go on the road. If I’m interested, I’ll stop more often at a certain land. For me, this is a rare opportunity to rest, so I will let my emotions guide me.

2023 is a quite successful year for Tran Nghia with 4 film projects, in both television and film fields. Looking back, are you satisfied with what you have accomplished?
– With what has passed in 2023, I feel quite satisfied and satisfied. Not only have I had the opportunity to participate in many projects, I have also been able to transform into many different roles, from the character of a bad boy to a criminal.
Through films, I gain more experience and skills. The characters I play also receive positive feedback. The audience may hate them but still recognize that I was able to embody that character. Tung inside We are 8 years later is just an example. In the past, many people thought it would be difficult for me to surpass the success of Ngan Trong Blue eyes, with a gentle, exemplary character format. I consider those opinions as motivation for me to improve and make efforts. For me, an attractive role may not require too much acting space, the important thing is that I have the ability to be creative and transform with that character.
– This Year of the Dragon 2024, he has expectations What’s for you in life and career??
– With acting, of course I still want to have more challenges and play interesting roles. In addition to making art, I also cherish the desire to do more business, because I was previously interrupted by the epidemic. 2024 is the year of the dragon, which is said to be very suitable for my age. Therefore, I hope I can have new and favorable beginnings.
I don’t want to rush into making money from art, I do every project, no matter whether it’s good or bad. For me, acting requires training and time to learn from experience. That’s why I want to do business to ensure my passion, even though what I do is very small compared to many other people.
