For the first time, the Armed Forces used the Palyanitsa drone missile against the occupiers

Today, August 24, the Ukrainian military used the Palyanitsa drone missile against the Russian invaders for the first time.

About this during the celebrations on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine reported President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

According to him, the missile-drone is a weapon of an “absolutely new class”. The result of the use of this drone missile was defeating the enemy, the president says.

“And we know that it will be very difficult for Russia to even pronounce what exactly arrived. It is difficult to counteract, but it is still very easy to understand why,” he added.

We remind you that today, August 24, Ukraine celebrates Independence Day. This is the 33rd anniversary of the tireless struggle for freedom.

Today is also a day of remembrance for all those who gave their lives for these values.

  • The Independence Day of Ukraine is celebrated in honor of the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR in 1991 of the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine. This is a political and legal document that certified the new status of the Ukrainian state.

On the occasion of the National Flag Day and the Independence Day of Ukraine, 486 events are expected to be held in the regions (except Donetsk, Luhansk, Sumy and Kherson). The National Police has engaged the maximum number of law enforcement officers for security.

Polish President Andrzej Duda also came to Kyiv.

144 events will be held just before the Independence Day of Ukraine, August 24.

The US Embassy in Ukraine has warned that in the coming days, in connection with the approach of Independence Day, which Ukraine celebrates on August 24, there may be an increase in Russian missile and drone attacks both at night and during the day.
