The number of coronavirus patients in hospitals has fallen for the first time in nearly a month. This is what the unconsolidated figures of Sciensano show on Sunday, communicated by the firm of Frank Vandenbroucke.

The number of patients has steadily increased since January 1, when there were 1,704 patients with Covid-19 in hospitals, until Friday, when the counter stood at 3,826. According to figures released on Sunday, there were 3,755 corona patients in hospitals on Saturday, the first drop in nearly a month.

The number of Covid patients in intensive care increased slightly, from 367 to 375.

During the period from January 20 to 26, 843,310 tests were carried out, of which 390,810 were found to be positive. The positivity rate for Belgium was 46.34% for this period.
