For sexual abuse they remove and disqualify the former director of Legal Medicine in Putumayo

The Attorney General’s Office confirmed the dismissal and 20-year disability imposed on the former director of Legal Medicine in Mocoa, Putumayo, Félix Antonio Ávila López, for sexually abusing two minors aged 14 and 16.

In a second instance ruling, the Public Ministry indicated that the former official had carnally accessed one of the minors on at least four occasions in a motel in the city.

“In the decision, the Ordinary Disciplinary Chamber of Judgment indicated that the three unique charges once morest the disciplined person were proven, since it was certain that the then officialobjectively made the typical description of the crimes of abusive carnal access with a child under 14 years of age, sexual acts with a child under 14 years of age and embezzlement for use,” said the Attorney General’s Office.

In the ruling it was also possible to determine the disciplinary responsibility for the improper use of the official vehicle that had been assigned to him, which he used to pick up the minors and take them to the place where he abused them.

“There is not the slightest doubt that the abuse of the position and function occurred because Ávila López overflowed his investiture as a public servant by taking minors to his office to carry out improper acts and achieve rapprochement with them that led to access abusive carnal behavior with a minor under 14 years of age,” added the control entity.
