The Intendance of Nahuel Huapi National Park reported the closure of three areas for public daytime use on the coast of Lake Mascardi, on the side of National Route 40, for security reasons.
The affected sectors are the so-called: La Lechuza, Puerto Mascardi and Arroyo Chilcoas stated by the national organization that placed bands and signs prohibiting access for people.
Parks indicated that the park rangers of the South Operational Unit carried out a survey in the free day use areas that are located on the coast of Lake Mascardi on Route 40 and detected that “the area is not in a condition to be enabled for public usefor security reasons”.
The closure of the three sectors that are usually busy does not have a defined deadline. “Progress is being made in the organization and maintenance of these sectors prior to the summer season,” the agency reported.
