His temerity, his courage, his strong behavior and his fighting spirit proved him right. Luxin Mikongo, a 25-year-old Gabonese, has come a long way. It was 12:30 p.m. when he was surprised by three young bandits, on the Interphoto-Stade Blanc axis, in the 2e district of Port-Gentil as he returned home. Surrounded by these thugs who sow terror and spread fear in this part of the economic capital, this young Gabonese did not let himself be fooled.
The cause of this ambush, the latest generation mobile phone that he held in his hands, a tool which probably attracted the attention of the bandits who began to track their victim. After some time, Luxin Mikongo is sandwiched, a fight breaks out following his refusal to hand over his electronic device.
Pugnacious and skilled in combat, the first two bandits who launched the assault ate dust. It is then that a machete is used by the third element of the gang who places it on the left arm of their prey. Luxin Mikongo is affected but not completely affected. Seeing that the two other bandits were no longer on guard, he managed to punch one in the jaw, and headbutt the other, then ran towards a home to take refuge.
“They wanted to snatch the phone, but when they didn’t give in, they hit him with a machete on the arm. He received more than twenty stitches”specifies maternal uncle Prince Lary Kouili.
Safe in this home, he loses consciousness for a moment. He was then taken to a local health facility to receive first aid. Waking up, the man couldn’t believe he had come out of this bad encounter alive and with his phone. He filed a complaint with the Judicial Police and a second with the Directorate General of Research (DGR), so that these young people under the age of 20 who sow terror are held accountable for their actions.
The investigation continues and the young man with a brave heart is receiving appropriate treatment.
