This week, the Egyptian Medicines Authority issued two circulars, withdrawing specific batches of two medicinal preparations for not conforming to specifications.
According to Circular No. 3 of 2022, the authority directed the seizure and seizure of the preparation PAN-AMIN G INFUSION (Pan AMIN G), batch No. 7J40LA, as it was issued for a final non-conformity by the laboratories of the Egyptian Medicines Authority.
The drug is prescribed to some kidney patients to reduce the symptoms of excess urea in the blood, such as loss of appetite, memory disturbance, fatigue, and muscle spasms.
The authority also issued circular No. 4 of 2022, to control and seize the GWNTADERM 1 mg topical cream, batch No. 6061043, because the product was issued with a final non-conformity from the laboratories of the Egyptian Medicines Authority.
This cream is an antibiotic used to treat infections and skin diseases and to eliminate disease-causing microbes.
In its circular, the authority called on drug distribution companies to freeze their stocks of the products and inform the authority of them.
