The Undersecretary of Health of the Municipality of the Capital, Ana Lagoria (photo), said “we must rethink the health system that we want or where we aim.”
The official referred to the situation that the Family and General Medicine residence in Catamarca is going through, and mentioned that “health is in crisis, speaking of our Residence.” “Those who finished the presentations to be able to render Residencies in our Capital, in our province, did not present themselves to render the Family Medicine Residency or the Medical Clinic.” Lagoria stressed that “as a former resident, the truth is that it is painful.” “It is painful that today we have so little influx of doctors who want to be trained in our province, who do not think of our province as a training tool.” The health professional also indicated that “what we give the least attention to is health.” “And when health puts a little more questioning, we are already health. We are always the last to be heard.”
