For an unimaginable reason… A Cameroonian thief steals cholera vaccines from a health center daily – photo

Exclusive translation: Police have arrested a Cameroonian man in Malawi for stealing cholera vaccines from patients at Limbe Health Centre.

Local media reported that the 33-year-old suspect claimed to be a health worker when he visited the hospital in Limbe, Blantyre last Friday.

The man was removing the drops from patients without permission, and this baffled the hospital health officials because they did not know who was responsible.

One staff member said they would put drops on patients but when they returned they would find they had been removed and wondered who was doing it.

Luck finally ran out when one of the nurses on duty caught him as he tried to flee the scene.

He was immediately arrested, subdued, and beaten before hospital authorities called the police to remove him.

It is later learned during interrogation, that he confessed to being a coffin maker struggling to sell in his business.
