Former Dortmund striker Alexander Isak is about to move from Spanish first division side Real Sociedad to Newcastle United in the English Premier League, according to Sky UK.
The transfer fee is around 69 million euros. Negotiations between the clubs are said to be well advanced.
The 22-year-old Swede would replace the Brazilian Joelinton as Newcastle’s record purchase, for which the “Magpies” paid 44 million to Hoffenheim in 2019.
Isak joined Real Sociedad three years ago from Borussia Dortmund, where he failed to establish himself, and has scored 44 goals in 132 competitive games there. Last weekend, the Swedish international scored in Real Sociedad’s 4-1 defeat by FC Barcelona.
