The Heirbaut butcher was almost an institution in Aalst. But despite a fierce fight, and the passage in the show Andermans zaken to save their business, the couple decided to close it, report our colleagues from HBvL.
“As of today, July 12, our butcher shop in Aalst will close its doors permanently,” Karl and Mélissa announced on their Facebook page. “As you may have seen on television at the end of January this year, for 5 and a half years we have had great difficulty covering essential costs with the turnover generated, let alone a fair salary” .
The couple, however, want to believe that they may be able to reopen their business one day, in another place.
