Football – Transfer: The Eagles of Congo strengthen their squad

Kinshasa, February 28, 2024 – Two players and two members of the technical staff strengthen the squad of Les Aigles du Congo in preparation for the next stage of the play-offs.

In defense, the Congolese right back, Dieumerci Mukoko Amale, returned from Ukraine where the finalization of his contract with his new club was unsuccessful, signed with the Eagles of Congo.

The former DCMP right defender was presented to the press on the evening of Tuesday February 27 in the presence of the club’s president, Vidye Tshimanga.

The former DCMP defender indicated his objectives with his new club which are to achieve more in an attempt to earn a place in the national team.

“I had taken the option of returning to the country and God was gracious, I found a place with the Eagles of Congo to also hope to find my place in the national team”, he said following his presentation.

Regarding the reasons for his return to the country, he explained that,“When I arrived in Ukraine all my documents to play with my new club were ready but following two weeks the war had started once more. That’s why I told myself not to stay like that without playing.”

In attack, the Eagles of Congo also benefited from the return of Glody Kikuama Mujinga. The latter who went to try his luck in Tanzania did not reach the end of his journey and will compete in the play-offs with the Samurai.

The club dear to President Vidiye Tshimanga also currently has a new club management team led by Junior Kiaku Mopotami (general manager of the club) and Gladys Bokese (deputy general manager).

As a reminder, the Eagles of Congo who finished in 5th place in group B, had taken the place of the DCMP for the play-offs thanks to the file of the player Mira Kalonji used illicitly by the green and whites.

According to the Linafoot calendar, the Samurai will be hosted this Sunday at the Tata Raphaël stadium by AS V’Club for the first day of the play-offs.
