Footballer of the Yaroslavl “Shinnik” Artem Semeykin in a conversation with “RIA Novosti” confessedthat he received threats following a fight with the players of the Ukrainian “Minaj” in Turkey.

“The fact that the other side says that they have piled on the Russians and are celebrating the victory is one hundred percent nonsense. Both we and they got in this fight. What they write there is not particularly interesting. About ten people wrote to me too. It’s not even a threat, just some nonsense writing. The content of the messages is something like what we will find, catch and all that. I did not close social networks, I answered one of them: “Glory to Russia.” They are rude to me, and I answer briefly, ”Semeikin said.

The Shinnik doctor spoke regarding the injuries of the players following the fight with the Ukrainians

At the Royal Seginus hotel in Antalya on February 13, a mass brawl broke out between the players of the Russian Shinnik and the Ukrainian Minai. The Yaroslavl club, which plays in the First League, said that the team’s players were not the initiators of the conflict. They reported that the players acted like a real team, standing up for their teammate, who was attacked. The Russian Consulate General in Antalya also said that the fight was provoked by the inappropriate behavior of the Ukrainian side.

According to the Ukrainian side, the Shinnik players provoked the fight with their behavior. “The reason for the skirmish was the shameful behavior of the Russian team’s football players towards the hotel worker and provocative exclamations towards the Transcarpathians,” Minai, playing in the Ukrainian Premier League, said in a statement.

After the mass brawl, the Shinnik players moved to another Turkish hotel, “so as not to repeat such conflicts in the future.”
