The Lyonnaises beat Juventus (3-1) Thursday in Lyon and will therefore play a 100% French semi-final of the Women’s Champions League against their favorite rivals Paris SG, qualified Wednesday (2-2 ap) at the expense of Bayern Munich.
Beaten 2-1 in Turin, the seven-time European champions opened the scoring through their Norwegian star Ada Hegerberg (33rd) and immediately doubled the lead through Melvine Malard (35th). The American Catarina Macario seemed to shelter them (73rd) but Andrea Staskova briefly revived the suspense by scoring for Juve (84th).
Wolfsburg sort Arsenal
For its part, Wolfsburg beat Arsenal, who played with Noelle Maritz until the 79th, Thursday (2-0), after going for a draw in England (1-1) in the first leg, and will play against FC Barcelona in the semi-finals.
The Germans took the advantage in the 9th minute by scoring from a corner by their midfielder Jill Roord, against his former club. They dominated the entire first period, then doubled the lead thanks to an own goal from Lea Williamson (73rd) which sealed the fate of the Londoners.
