Football: Guadeloupean Sandy Baltimore targeted by a complaint for “violence”

The PSG striker and French international is accused of having kicked an ex-friend in the street, in Bois-Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine). The facts would have taken place last spring, during a dispute.

Crisis situation among PSG players. After the Hamraoui affair which still agitates the Parisian club, the Guadeloupean player Sandy Baltimore, 22, is implicated by an ex-friend, for “violence having resulted in incapacity for work not exceeding 8 days”. Aged 21, the depositary of the complaint explains in the columns of the Sunday newspaper having received four punches in the face by the Guadeloupean.

The French international delivered her version of the facts in the JDD, Thursday, September 29. She explains that this ex-friend was above all “a sister” but that their relationship had become “toxic”.

He was someone I looked up to very much. But there were too many things, lies and betrayals. We were just supposed to have a chat but when we got face to face and she lied to me eye to eye, it was too much, the tone rose. I struck a first blow, then we fought in quotes.

Sandy Baltimore in the JDD

According to Sandy Baltimore’s agent, Karim Beloul, the French international “did not measure the consequences of his gesture”. He recalls that the young Guadeloupean “remain a human being” even though she has become a public figure “who has to pay attention to everything she does.”

The case actually dates back to May 2022, when Sandy Baltimore’s ex-friend filed a complaint once morest her. She explains that she had a “dispute” with the player. The two women reportedly stopped talking to each other until the day the PSG striker sent her a message to “discuss”according to the JDD article.

They meet at the bottom of the complainant’s building on May 2 at around 11 p.m. in Bois-Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine). There, Sandy Baltimore’s ex-friend describes the player as “agressive”before giving him “three punches in the face.” “She followed up with a fourth punch that knocked me to the ground. I didn’t lose consciousness, but I was paralyzed”describes the victim during his complaint to the police, consulted by the JDD.

Municipal police officers on patrol intervened, the ex-friend of Sandy Baltimore was transported to Beaujon hospital, in Clichy. The doctor noted a bruise on his cheek and an edema on his lips, and was granted three days of total incapacity for work.

With 17 selections on the clock, Sandy Baltimore was not called by Corinne Deacon, coach of Les Bleues, to play the next two matches for the France team in October.
