Elfsborg got off to a good start in the match at home against Norrköping. Michael Baidoo was clinical when he rolled in 1-0 from close range behind David Mitov Nilsson. But the happiness did not last long.
Five minutes later, Carl Björk came running deep and Buhari Ibrahim tried to stop him with a sliding tackle. However, all too tough. The Elfsborg player had to see the red card and the home team had to play the rest of the match with one less man.
– It feels like it was pretty clear, says Björk.
Swinging second half
In the end, Norrköping managed to take advantage, and it was Björk who was in front and scored the equaliser.
Soon after, the lead goal also came. Mitov Nilsson started the game quickly and the kick-out reached over the center circle and all the way to David Moberg Karlsson, who coolly lifted in 2-1.
But Elfsborg would come back.
In the 73rd minute of the match, Timothy Ouma charged in from distance and Mitov Nilsson could not resist. The 2-2 goal was the last of the match and Elfsborg managed to save points at home – despite being one man down for 75 minutes.
“Shall succeed better”
– A little disappointed. I think we deserve three points, says Sebastian Holmén after the match.
Even in the Norrköping camp there was disappointment after the match.
– Both went for it in a sick way. I feel a frustration and disappointment. They get an early sending off, but we don’t manage to win. With one more man, we should succeed better, says Mitov Nilsson.
