Football: boss of French football, Noël Le Graët is set back – rts.ch

The Extraordinary Executive Committee of the French Football Federation (FFF) has decided to withdraw Noël Le Graët, president of the FFF, in dirty sheets for several months and even more following attacking Zinedine Zidane.

Le Graët, who took over the presidency of the FFF in 2011 and whose mandate was due to end at the end of 2024, has been weakened by his recent controversial statements regarding Zinédine Zidane and testimonies on supposed sexist behavior.

That of players’ agent Sonia Souid, accusing him directly of repeated advances, only overwhelmed the octogenarian president a little more.

For the director general Florence Hardouin, who had execrable relations with Le Graët, the sanction is more severe: she is “lay off as a precaution”, announced the FFF in a press release.

Philippe Diallo (59), who led for nearly 30 years (from 1992 to 2021) the Union of Professional Football Clubs (UCPF), the employers’ union of professional clubs, will take over as interim head of the FFF until the next Executive Committee.
