Ten years following its last broadcast of a Europa League match, AB3 is celebrating the return of football to its airwaves. For the next three seasons, the channel has in fact acquired the broadcasting rights toEuropa League and of theEurope C onference League in collaboration with the RTBF. The two broadcasters have distributed, in a complementary way, the matches of the two championships. The final of theEurope Conference League will be one of the big events that viewers will be invited to follow on AB3.
For the return of football in force on the channel, it is once once more relying on the know-how of the famous sports commentator Marc Delire, who already officiates on Proximus TV, Eleven Sport and on Tipik in The gallery. He will be accompanied by consultant Benoît Cheyrou, former professional footballer (Auxerre, Lille and Marseille) and current consultant for Ligue 1 on Amazon Prime Video. “We are happy to welcome Marc Delire, a well-known face to viewers who marks his return to AB3, and consultant Benoît Cheyrou, considered one of the best Ligue 1 specialists in France.says Philippe Zrihen, program director at AB3. On April 7, the match West Ham – Olympique Lyonnais, quarter-final of the Europa League, will open the ball on AB3. The returns will follow on April 14, the semi-finals on April 28 and May 5, as well as the final of theEuropa Conference Leaguele 25 mai.
