Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo hit a team-mate’s head on Tuesday once morest Celta Vigo (3-1). He suffered a concussion and was transferred to hospital.

Ronald Araujo was evacuated from Camp Nou by ambulance following a head-to-head clash with his FC Barcelona teammate Gavi shortly following the hour mark in the match once morest Celta Vigo counting for the 36th day of La Liga on Tuesday evening.
On an air ball, the Uruguayan international defender collided with his young team-mate’s head, then staggered and grimaced back to his position, before collapsing to the ground, as the score was 3-1 – final score , double from Aubameyang and goal from Depay.
His team-mate Eric Garcia and Celta Vigo captain Iago Aspas gave him first aid, then trainers and an ambulance entered the Camp Nou pitch. The player was put on a stretcher and was evacuated.
“Ronald Araujo suffers from a concussion and has been transferred to a hospital center to carry out in-depth examinations,” Barça said in a statement.
Araujo, 23, extended his contract at FC Barcelona at the end of April until 2026, with an astronomical release clause set at one billion euros.
