Vaduz – Aarau 0: 2
FC Aarau continues its successful run. Stephan Keller’s team won 2-0 in Vaduz and remained unbeaten for the tenth time in a row.
The form curves of the two teams are completely different. While Aarauer were able to improve once more in the second half of the season, Vaduz hasn’t really made any headway since Mario Frick changed coaches to Alessandro Mangiarratti. The half-time leader is now left behind in the race for direct promotion.
Aarau provided the deserved difference with goals from Aleksandar Cvetkovic and Randy Schneider in the last quarter of an hour of the first half and the fifth win in a row for the league leaders.
The goals: 33. Cvetkovic 0:1, 36. Schneider 0:2.
Winterthur – Yverdon 2:0
Winterthur remains the first pursuer of Aarauer. Alex Frei’s team beat Yverdon 2-0 at home thanks to late goals. In the 81st minute, Roberto Alves converted a penalty caused by Winter new signing Anthony Sauthier to make it 1-0 and in added time Tician Tushi scored the final. Winterthur is five points behind Aarau and four points ahead of Vaduz.
The goals: 81. Oliveira Alves (P) 1:0, 90+5. Tushi 2:0.
