Russia – Russian doctor Natalia Tananakina has identified some types of foods that have a role in improving mood and enhancing the functioning of the brain and nervous system.
During one of the television interviews, the doctor said: “There are many food products that have a positive effect on improving a person’s mood, including yogurt and fermented milk products that do not contain artificial substances, as well as some types of pickles, such as sauerkraut. These foods help improve the functioning of the intestines and improve Mood also, as it contains probiotics or so-called probiotics that enhance immunity and improve brain functions.
She added: “The microorganisms found in some types of foods help maintain beneficial intestinal bacteria in the body, which directly affects the production of serotonin, which is the hormone responsible for behavior, stress resistance, appetite, and even sexual desire, and its secretion contributes to improving mood.”
The doctor pointed out that eating bananas may also help improve joking, as they contain sugar, fiber, and vitamin B6, all of which are necessary for a healthy nervous system.
Russian nutritionist Yelena Bashkirova had also previously indicated that foods rich in omega-3, folic acid, and bioflavonoids help improve mood, and these foods include fish, leafy vegetables, berries, and some types of spices.
On the other hand, nutrition expert Tatyana Strelnikova advised eating nuts, legumes, whole grains, fish, seafood, vegetables and fruits, and pointed out that these foods contain the amino acid tryptophan, which affects the action of serotonin, which in turn contributes to improving the mood.
