Launch detikHealthMonday (11/11/2024), specialist in hematology-oncology consultant Dr Dr Andhika Rachman SpPD-KHOM, said that foods high in fiber are very good for intestinal health because they can facilitate digestion. According to him, a healthy and balanced diet helps protect the body from the risk of colon cancer.
“Foods high in fiber, such as fruit, vegetables, whole grains and nuts, are very good for intestinal health because they help maintain the digestive process smoothly,” said Dr Andhika when contacted.
Apart from high fiber foods, Dr Andika also recommends foods that contain probiotics such as yogurt. This type of food can support the balance of good bacteria in the intestines.

“Reducing consumption of red and processed meat can reduce the risk of colon cancer,” he said.
