The Ministry of Finance has already sent all the documentation relating to the aforementioned road project and the draft contract for study and approval by the regional body.
Fernando Rodríguez, from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), announced that if the credit line is approved, the agreement would be signed during the first quarter of this year and then submitted to the consideration of the National Congress.
At the same time, the MOPC will already be calling for International Public Bidding for the execution of the project. He mentioned that the works on the runway will begin between September and October of this year, with completion expected in March 2019.
It is a complicated section because there are areas with estuaries and floods. For this reason, a reinforced concrete bridge of regarding 350 meters plus a spillway of 75 light meters must be built, in addition to the placement of tubular and cellular culverts.
In addition, the elevation of the embankment, cleaning of the strips of domains, paving of slopes, lining of ditches and drainage channels on both sides of the route are planned.
