Mie Prefecture announced on April 15 that 631 people (including 139 people announced by Yokkaichi City) were infected with the new coronavirus and one man in his 80s died. A total of 64,579 people were infected and 280 people died in the prefecture.
According to the announcement, the breakdown of infected people by city and town is 154 in Tsu City, 139 in Yokkaichi City, 73 in Suzuka City, 67 in Matsusaka City, 33 in Ise City, 30 in Kuwana City, 20 in Komono Town, and 19 in Iga City. The number of inpatients in the prefecture decreased by 13 from the previous day to 120, of which 1 was severely ill, and the bed usage rate was 23.8% and 1.9% for severely ill. The number of home recuperators increased by 39 from the previous day to 5,323.
According to the prefecture, the deceased man was found to have a new corona infection following hospitalization for another disease. The cause of death is not the new Corona.
