The technical committee of the India Catalina Awards announced the list of nominees in the 39 categories in which the best of Colombian television will be recognized this Saturday, March 20, within the framework of the Cartagena de Indias Film Festival – FICCI .
Among the most named, Caracol Television arrives at the awards with 25 nominations for productions such as The queen of flow 2, Challenge the box, The informants, Noticias Caracol, The voice kids, The voice senior, The son of the caciqueamong others.
Snail News is nominated for Best National News and Juan Diego Alvira What Best News Anchor; Ricardo Orrego is one of the nominees in the Best Sports Presenter category, and the coverage of the Olympic Games with Caracol Sports competes in the Best Sports Production category.
The Informants, the program that presents 3 great stories every Sunday, directed by María Elvira Arango, was chosen to participate in the Best Journalistic Production category. In entertainment, Andrea Serna is nominated in the Best Entertainment Program Host category for her participation in Desafío the box.
On the other hand, RTVC competes with 37 nominations, while Señal Colombia is nominated in the categories of Best Documentary, Best Documentary Series Production, Best Children’s Audiovisual Production, Best Humorous Audiovisual Production, Best Reality or Contest Program, among others. Señal Deportes will compete in the Best Sports Production category (Goga rolls around the world).
The free online entertainment platform RTVCPlay achieved two nominations for El Cubo in the category for Best Web Fiction Series and Sesiones RTVC, which was also enjoyed on the screen of Señal Colombia, in the Best Online Production category.
“These 37 nominations at the India Catalina Awards are a historical fact, not only because it is the year with the highest number of nominations for RTVC; but because we are the medium with the most nominations in this edition. This shows that the Public Media System is moving in the right direction and that we are growing, modernizing ourselves and that we have the capacity to produce attractive content for Colombians,” said Álvaro García, manager of RTVC Public Media System, regarding this great achievement. .
The first award of the night in the “Revelation Actor or Actress” category went to Catalina Gómez for her role as Emma Reyes in the Señal Colombia series, this being the first award for the production, which has been nominated 15 times.

Continuing with the ceremony, the third category was “Best journalistic production”, whose award went to “Los Informantes”, an investigative format from Caracol Televisión.
The award for “Best production of social inclusion” went to “The Others”, produced by Señal Colombia, while the award for “Best Audience Favorite Talent” went to Katherine Vélez for her role in the RCN series “Woman-fragranced coffee”.
Best antagonistic actor in a telenovela went to actor Lucho Velazco for his role in the second season of “La Reina del Flow”, a series on Caracol Televisión.

The award for “Best Audience Favorite Production” went to Canal RCN’s “Master Chef Celebrity”, while the award for Best Musical Audiovisual Production went to Teleantioquia’s “Serenata”.
