In the days of the USSR, not only interesting toys were invented for children, but also truly educational ones! Let them be simpler than now, but definitely useful, as they trained children’s attention and concentration. We will talk in this article regarding which toys are undeservedly forgotten today and which ones would be nice to return.

Spiking sticks

Such sticks might be made with your own hands – it was enough to put an ordinary eraser on a wooden skewer (and sometimes used pencils or toothpicks). Of course, not the whole eraser, but a small piece. Several of these sticks or pencils had to be made and put in one pile. Then the players pulled these sticks in turn. But it was important to do it in such a way that the other spillikins did not move a millimeter. The one who ends up with the most sticks wins. You can use not only sticks, but also other objects.

Pigs but not Peppa

You might buy it, or you might make it yourself – erasers or thick twigs would once more come to the rescue. It was necessary to scatter them on the table and find two “pigs” that lie with the same side up. But not just to find, but to push it with a click so that others are not hurt. Again, the one who was able to push the most pigs won.

Malechina-kalechina

The name, of course, seems to hint that you will have to cripple something … But this is not so. The essence of this old game was that it was necessary to keep the stick on the palm of your hand for as long as possible. But the stick (or pencil) was placed vertically on the palm with the sharp end down. Before the start, everyone uttered the words: “Malechena-Kalechina, how many hours until evening?” and began to count until the stick fell. Sometimes the game was complicated and the stick was placed not on the palm, but on the finger, leg, etc. This game perfectly develops coordination of movements and balance in children.

Yula

All children adored Yulu. It would seem that it is spinning and spinning, but in fact, playing with this toy helps to improve coordination of movement, as well as develop motor functions of both the left and right hands. By the way, not every adult might start the top the first time, it was necessary to understand the principle of work, which also helps children in the development of their thinking.

Furchalka

You can easily make a furchalka with your own hands: you will need a large button with two holes and a cord (70 cm). Pass the string through both holes and take it from both sides so that the button is in the middle. Twist the lace with rotational movements, and then pull it to the sides – the button will spin and begin to “snort”
