Flying taxis are a reality, this is how manufacturers are preparing

Vertical Aerospace leads the future of air mobility.

Britain’s Virgin Atlantic Airways announced last week that it was conducting flight tests using a prototype flying taxi developed by Vertical Aerospace. Successfully finished the flying car prototype that completed its first trip between cities.

During the trial, a flight is operated from the main airport in Bristol to an airport elsewhere in the South West of England.

Another flight from London Heathrow heads to the so-called Vertiport (vertical airport).

This is not the first experience in the field of using flying taxis to move between cities, as several countries intend to use flying taxis to move between cities by 2025.

Before the end of last year, «NASA» began its official tests in the “flying taxi”of the company «Joby Aviation».

NASA seeks to integrate air taxis and drones into the national mobility ecosystem. Whisk Aero is collaborating with Boeing to operate flying cars and one day introduce this service to the public. And earlier, the German company Lilium for flying taxis announced the success of its first test flight from Munich airport.

the german company “Lily” revealed that the taxi can travel 22 kilometers in 6 minutes. Lilium expects to start operating its commercial services by 2025.

South Korea also tested a “flying taxi” and plans to launch it in 2025 to alleviate traffic congestion.
