Flying coffins? Boeing engineer warns of plane crashes

Engineer Sam Salehpour, who has worked at the company for more than ten years, stated this in the US Congress, The Guardian reports.

He said the aircraft maker has “no safety culture” and employees who raise alarms are “ignored, marginalized, threatened, suspended and worse.”

Salehpour is calling for the grounding of all 787 Dreamliners because he discovered they have a problem with gaps between key sections.

He says he fears “physical violence” because of his words.

Let us recall that previously a former Boeing employee who testified once morest the company was found dead a few days following the meeting.

John Barnett, who worked for Boeing for 32 years and retired in 2017, died of a “self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the statement said.

A former employee of the company told the BBC in 2019 that workers under pressure were deliberately installing substandard parts on aircraft on the production line.

In addition, Barnett reported that there were serious problems with the aircraft’s oxygen systems, which might cause a quarter of the oxygen masks to fail to function in an emergency.
