FlyGabon inaugurated this Thursday –

The President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma, officially inaugurated the new Gabonese airline, FlyGabon, on Thursday.

The ceremony took place in Libreville in the presence of Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima and several members of the government.

The inaugural flight is scheduled for this Saturday, August 31. The company promises attractive rates. The emergence of the national flag FlyGabon, national flag, is reconfiguring the landscape of air transport in Gabon. The Gabonese Republic has acquired, through the participation company Fly Gabon Holding, the majority of the capital of the airline Afrijet. Afrijet now operates under two distinct brands: FlyGabon for domestic routes and Afrijet for regional flights.

While FlyGabon will initially focus on the domestic market, the national flag will expand beyond Gabonese borders with the aim of launching a connection to Johannesburg, South Africa, by Airbus A320, by the end of 2024.

To ensure quality service, FlyGabon will put two ATR 72-600s into service. The second of these two aircraft will be integrated into the fleet by the end of September. These aircraft, with a capacity of 72 passengers, are renowned for their reliability and performance, particularly suited to local conditions. This strategic choice will ensure regular and punctual service on all proposed routes.
