This is what the ÖGK chief physician advises

“The increasing numbers of sick leave show an increase in influenza virus activity. Even if the flu wave has already hit Austria, vaccination is recommended. Especially because this year there is a good match between the predominant flu viruses and the vaccine. To avoid infection and further spread, it is right to wear a mask, especially where there are many people at the same time. Washing your hands regularly and disinfecting them as well as keeping your distance are other sensible measures once morest communicable diseases,” explains ÖGK chief physician Andreas Krauter.
