Florida to investigate pharmaceutical companies that made COVID-19 vaccines for side effects

MADRID, 23 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Florida Supreme Court approved this Thursday the request of state governor Ron DeSantis to form a special jury to investigate the pharmaceutical companies that manufactured the COVID-19 vaccines for possible irregularities in relation to side effects.

The Republican governor requested in early December that vaccine manufacturers be investigated alleging possible side effects that would have claimed the lives of dozens of people, as reported by the ‘New York Post’ newspaper.

In DeSantis’ petition to establish the grand jury, he argued that a Florida Department of Health analysis “found an increased relative incidence of heart-related deaths among men ages 18 to 39 within 28 days of vaccination”.

“A state grand jury shall be promptly incorporated for a period of twelve calendar months, from the date of incorporation, with jurisdiction throughout the state of Florida, to investigate crimes, make indictments, make submissions, and perform all functions of a grand jury with respect to the crimes set forth herein,” wields the Florida Supreme Court order.

In this way, the state Justice will investigate Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, as well as their executives and other associations or medical organizations involved in the creation of vaccines once morest COVID-19, according to the aforementioned newspaper.

DeSantis has reiterated on more than one occasion that in Florida “it is illegal to deceive and misrepresent,” emphasizing the illegality of allegedly lying regarding the efficacy of a drug such as coronavirus vaccines.
