A Florida mother was arrested early Sunday morning following leaving her 7-year-old daughter alone for hours in an unlocked car while she got drunk at a bar.
According to information from Fox NewsDeLand police officers responded to the Perfect Spot Bar just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning following a little girl, apparently looking for her mother, was seen near the establishment.
The investigation revealed that the child had been left unsupervised inside a car parked in a dark parking lot.
One police officer stayed with the girl, while others searched for the mother, 35-year-old Veronica Elliott.
We do not know the exact time when the thirty-year-old arrived at the bar, but around 6:30 a.m., following so far unsuccessful searches by the authorities, the mother went to meet the police.
As she swayed with bare feet and covered in dirt, she simply asked them what time it was.
She was charged with child neglect.
Her daughter was taken into care by the authorities.
