A simple visit to a store made a Florida man a millionaire. And it is that there he bought an instant lottery ticket that came out with a prize of $1 million dollarsas announced by the Florida Lottery.
Lottery officials said Peter Dulas, 68, of Lake Placid, claimed his $1 million prize from the Billion Dollar Gold Rush Supreme scratch-off game at the West Palm Beach district office of the state lottery.
Dulas opted to receive his award in the form of a one-time payment of $880,000.according to the news portal News Channel 8.
According to the Florida Lottery, Dulas purchased his winning ticket at the Ocala Stopping Center, located at 7401 West Highway 318.
The store that sold Dulas his winning Scratch-Off ticket will receive a bonus commission of $2,000.
The game, which costs $30offers four top prizes of $15 million dollars and 24 second place prizes of $1 million dollars.
The odds of winning any prize of any amount are 1 in 2.59, according to the Florida Lottery on its website.
So far, three of the four main prizes have been awarded to lottery players.
