Floriculture sector aims for formalization, training and new markets

Asuncion, IP Agency.- In order to find mechanisms to strengthen the sector, access formalization, training and technical tools, as well as markets, representatives of the Floricultural Chamber of Paraguay held a meeting with the Vice Minister of MSMEs, Gustavo Giménez.

The visitors expressed their concerns and the challenges they face as a sector and stated that they aim for the formalization of the sector, because it is the safe route, and for training with international professors, with the idea of ​​bringing technicians who teach the current trends in the sector, because everything is empirical here, and there is a lack of technique, said the president of Cafap, Roberto López.

She said that they are looking for more training for their members, who are mostly micro-entrepreneurs with knowledge of floristry techniques, but who need to continue training to perfect their work in flower arrangements.

In turn, the Vice Minister of MSMEs, Gustavo Giménez, highlighted the creative performance of national florists, who constitute an important sector in the realization of the various events.

He said that they will carry out an evaluation of the sector to develop a work plan aimed at this segment and in that sense, he indicated that for the second meeting we would include people from Fedemipymes, in order to strengthen the sector, connecting them with a guild that is important for achieving the objectives and growth of their businesses, he added.
